Здрасти, проблема такова: ноут asus X55S, встроенная камера 1.3 мегапикселя, проблема простая, не могу настроить, точнее не могу ее вобще найти в устройствах.
Кто-нибудь настраивал камеру на асусах?

Надо еще учесть, что сборщики (а в данном случае АСУС выступат как сборщик), любят менять id-устройств.
покажи lspc -v. там будут [idVendor:idDevice]. можно будет по ним погуглить. если нотик не супер-ппупер новый - возможно кто-то эту проблему уже решал. Даже если не решил - может мысли какие навеет... :)

Вобщем дрова
Вобщем дрова поставил, камера определилась, все вроде норм, но появились как всегда другие проблемы.
xawtv, через него тупо черный экран показывает, camorama тоже самое, mplayer вобще ничего не кажет.
Напрягает еще вот это=>

Устанавливал драйвер
Устанавливал драйвер stk11xx-2.1.0 на ядро 2.6.29. Сборку драйвера производил альтернативным файлом с инструкциями для компиляции с этого ресурса http://bookeldor-net.info/merdier/Makefile-syntekdriver. Как выяснилось в строке 1736 была не верная инструкция:
#ifdef CONFIG_COMPAT заменяем на #ifndef CONFIG_COMPAT
Теперь все собирается:
make -f Makefile-syntekdriver
make -f Makefile-syntekdriver install
modprobe stk11xx
Перед инсталяцией необходимо проверить драйвер какой версии соответствует вашему ядру.
